Start with the complete AP Build
Copy the complete AP/PDA string from Settings, Download Mode or a trusted firmware record. Android version or security patch alone is insufficient because one system version may span models, CSCs and Binary revisions.
Identify the Bootloader Binary
A digit near the revision segment commonly represents the Bootloader Binary. Samsung anti-rollback usually rejects a target Binary below the current one; an equal or higher digit does not prove every other field is compatible.
Put the Build back into model and CSC context
A final decision needs the full SM- model, current CSC, target CSC and current Build. Confirm device identity, compare market release and Binary, and only then consider downloading or flashing.
