DOWNGRADE GUIDE

Can Samsung firmware be downgraded? Binary and anti-rollback

Compare current and target AP Builds against the Bootloader Binary boundary; an older Android release does not mean the Binary can go backward.

Compare Binary before Android version

Extract the Bootloader Binary from the current and target AP Builds. A lower target Binary is normally blocked, while an older Android version or release date alone does not establish whether a downgrade is accepted.

The same Binary is not automatically safe

An equal Binary only avoids an obvious anti-rollback boundary. The full model, CSC, modem, hardware variant and package integrity still require independent matching; stop when any of them is unknown.

Preserve the current state when uncertain

Do not attempt a downgrade without a reliable source, checksum and explicit compatibility evidence. Keep the current Build record and backup, then seek support familiar with the exact model.

Before flashing

This guide helps identify risk; it does not replace backups, official service guidance or professional repair. Verify the full model, CSC, Binary and backup first.
