Understand the common file slots
BL contains the bootloader, AP the main system package, CP the modem and CSC regional configuration; HOME_CSC is commonly used when attempting to preserve user data. Similar filenames do not permit cross-model use.
Create a recovery point first
Back up data and confirm account access, sufficient charge, a reliable USB connection and correct drivers. Record the current model, CSC, AP Build and Binary so the original state is known if anything fails.
Use packages with complete evidence
Prefer firmware with a traceable source and complete checksum. Verify SHA-256 after download and reject any package whose model, CSC, Binary or file integrity cannot be confirmed.
